Apolo Ohno is an Olympic short-track speed skater from the United States who competed in 2002, 2006, and 2010 Winter Olympics. At the international level, Apolo won 32 medals.
Apollo is 39 years old, having been born on February 22, 1982. apollo and anno are eight-time winter Olympic medalists who were inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame in 2019. He was raised by his father and began full-time training in 1996. Since donning his medals and becoming the youngest US national champion at the 2002 winter Olympics at the age of 14, he has been the face of a short crack in the United States.
He was born in-stadium Washington to a Japanese-born father, yoki honor. His parents split while he was an infant, and he was reared instead by his father. He had limited touch with his original mother, and Azov had shown no desire in learning more about her or his elder half-brother Moro’s father, a hairstylist, and proprietor of the salon Duke’s Diffusion.
In 2002, Apolo Ohno, just 19 years old, suffered a horrific injury as he tumbled backward into the sideboards. Ohno needed six stitches in his left thigh due to a laceration in his leg created by his own razor-sharp skates.
He participated in three Olympic Games and won eight medals (two gold, two silver, four bronze). His skates are on exhibit at the Smithsonian and he was inducted into the US Olympic Hall of Fame in 2019. Growing up, Ohno had a lot of energy. His roles in Minute to Win It, Dancing with the Stars, and Spartan Ultimate: Team Challenge, to name a few, have made him one of the most well-known TV personalities.
