Wrestling Career
Bobby Lashley began his professional wrestling career in 2005, when he competed in dark matches on Raw and Smackdown. He made his live TV debut on the Blue brand, defeating Shawn Dean in his first encounter.

Bobby was already on SmackDown at the time of the 2006 Royal Rumble, hence he was qualified. Big Show and Kane, the World Tag Team Champions at the time, worked together to remove them.
By finishing MNM and becoming the last man, Lashley won a battle royal. The former army brat went on to compete at WrestleMania (his first WrestleMania partnership), as well as the SmackDown King of the Ring tournament. He made it to the finals, but Booker T. beat him to the title. After defeating Booker T for the United States Championship, Lashley defeated JBL for his first professional championship title. He was defeated by Finale less than two months later.
Lashley got a serious shoulder injury on July 30 that need surgery after dying for the WWE Championship in 2007. On February 4, 2008, WWE terminated him from his contract after six months away from the competition.

Bobby Lashley then focused on building a name for himself by fighting for the Inoki Genome Federation on a regular basis (IGF). On December 27, 2014, he defeated Tiny Iron and MXX to claim the IWS Heavyweight Championship.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship

On March 9, 2014, Lashley returned to Impact Wrestling.He defeated Eric Young to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and he became the first Black American to hold the title.

On Rudd, Bobby Lashley won the championship. He asked to bring it against Drew Galloway and Eddie Edwards twice on January 7, 2015. He won the TNA X Division Championship by defeating Edwards in a winner-take-all steel match.

MMA Career
Lashley departed TNA in 2012 to concentrate on his MMA career, but he returned in 2014. He became the first African-American TNA World Heavyweight Champion during his second stint, holding the title for three months until losing it to Robert Roode. He regained the championship before losing it to Kurt Angle in January of 2015. The TNA/IMPACT World Championship would be Lashley’s fourth reign.

United States Championship
