Lizzy has had a passion for racing since she was a child, having been born into a racing family. She grew up in New Jersey with her sister, and the two sisters turned their love of playing with automobile toys into genuine racing at race tracks. Her racing career began when she was eight years old, and she progressed through the ranks until she reached the age of sixteen when she competed in junior drag racing for the last time.

Because of her love for the family business, she stopped going to school after high school and stayed around her father’s workshop.
Her formal education only lasted until high school, after which she began working in her father’s shop, sweeping floors and cleaning parts. Lizzy’s father couldn’t give up his passion for racing cars, so after retirement, he joined the backstage staff of international automobile racing teams, where he was able to fix and prepare their vehicles for contests.
When her father relocated his engine business from New Jersey to North Carolina in 2012, Lizzy, then 22 years old, moved to Mooresville, North Carolina, and became known as Lizzy Musi among drag racing enthusiasts. Elizabeth Moosie was her given name when she was born. Lizzy was born in Carteret, New Jersey, on January 1, 1991, as the eldest child of Pat and Elizabeth Moosie. She has a younger sister, Patricia, who is also a drag racer and is known to her fans as Trisha.
As of 2021, her sister’s name is the feminine form of their father’s name. Lizzy is 30 years old, American by country and Swedish by ethnicity, and a racing goddess. Her father is a prominent drag racer as well as an engine builder; he is a native of Carteret, New Jersey, and her mother is a former drag racer from Stockholm, Sweden.
In April of 2017, this racing pair made their relationship public. She declared her relationship with Kai Kelly on social media while wishing him a happy birthday, describing him as her friend and the man she loves aside from their love. This racing duo has also been seen on the track together. Lizzy and Kai have competed in multiple races as a couple. Interestingly, Lizzy won the no prep king race at firebird raceway in Eagle, Idaho, ahead of Kai Kelly. Kai, Lizzy’s boyfriend, was previously married to Alyssa moat from 2015 to 2017.
From a previous marriage, he has a daughter named Kennedy Alexa Kelly. Kai has an older daughter named Haley Kelly from his connection with a lady named Sarah Lizzy Moosie has a new puppy, a french bulldog named Biggie Smalls, that she is particularly possessive of. She traveled to California to pick him up in July. Following much study, Lizzy and Kai determined that a french bulldog would be the ideal pet for them. Lizzy finds it lovely that french bulldogs are quite laid back with a predilection for couch potatoism. Everyone is impressed with how well she completed her studies prior to receiving the dog.

What brought Kai Kelly and Lizzie Moosie together? Kai had gone to the PDRA event to do an exhibition grudge race when she encountered Moosie. Kai was already a customer of the Musi and Lizzy had no idea who he was or had even heard of his program, whereas Lizzy had no idea who he was or had even heard of his show. Lizzie’s first impression of him was down to earth and really cool. She had been a junior dragster since she was 16 years old and had been out of the competitive race for five years when she made her top sportsman debut at the ADR all-season opener in Houston in 2012. Despite taking a long break from racing, she qualified for the first round and won the race; however, she was disqualified in the second round.
In 2014, Lizzy was named rookie of the year after winning her first national professional drag racing competition at the professional drag racers association’s inaugural event in Virginia. She had also set a new record by finishing the race in 3.740 seconds. She worked in the front office operations of her father’s company, Pat Moosie Racing Engines, in addition to racecourses, while her father toiled behind the scenes manufacturing powerful race engines. Her job entailed largely billing and emails for parts and park orders, while her sister and mother handled the paperwork. Without using a supercharged engine, Lizzy Musi became the first woman to cross the 200 mph barrier in the 1/8 mile and slammer.
Lizzy followed up her rookie of the year award with a second career pro nitrous triumph at the brian Olson memorial PDRA world championships in September of 2016. She also won the pro nitrous trophy and Gallup motorsports park racing in September of 2016. Lizzy also achieved a record in the Middle East Arabian Drag Racing League pro series, becoming the first female driver to win in the round four final. In round three, she set the fastest elapsed time in pro nitrous history with a 3.663-second blast in a 2015 Dodge Dart King Kong 6. Although the sport is still male-dominated, daredevil women like Lizzy and Brittany are shattering the proverbial glass ceiling and drag racing 2012 was not an easy year for Lizzy.
Lizzie Musi recently got engaged to kai kelly on July 31, 2021. She is still drag racing, in fact, she was in an accident in a drag racing competition on the same day kai proposed to her. She is currently resting because her body is sore from the accident and can’t wait to compete again.
