Rob Gronkowski is an American football tight end who currently plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the National Football League. He is a four-time Super Bowl champion and one of the sport’s most recognizable figures.
Gordon Gronkowski and Diane Walters were his parents when he was born, but they divorced in 2008. Since he was a child, the 32-year-old has had a passion for athletics. Gronkowski grew up playing hockey and basketball before deciding to pursue a career in American football, which he did for the remainder of his life.
The New England Patriots selected Gronkowski in the second round of the 2010 NFL Draft, with the 42nd overall choice. Gronkowski had a strong debut season, earning NFL Rookie of the Week honors twice and being named to the season’s NFL ALL-Rookie team.
Gronkowski’s second season proved to be even more exciting. With 17 receiving touchdowns, he was first on the list. This was also the first time a tight end had sole possession of the league lead in the league’s history. The Patriots also made it to the Super Bowl with his help. However, they were unable to win the game and were defeated by the New York Giants.
Gronkowski took this failure to heart, and the 32-year-old went on to add four Super Bowl triumphs to his resume after that. Gronkowski won three Super Bowls with the New England Patriots (XLIX, LI, and LIII) and one with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (LV).
